Form 7 pupils who started Oakham School at the age of 10 reunited with their former teachers to enjoy a trip down memory lane and celebrate their status as the School’s longest-serving pupils.
The 16 final year students revisited their former classroom to enjoy canapés and Prosecco whilst watching a slideshow of their Lower 1 adventures and looking at a selection of their work from their first year at the School.
They were joined by former Head of Lower School Val Harvey and his wife Joy, former Housemasters of PH and Sargants, Steve Foster and Mark Durose, together with current Lower School staff and Headmaster Henry Price.
Teacher of Lower 1, Alison Petit, who organised the event, said: “The evening was a lovely way to celebrate the pupils’ long service to the School and a chance for them to see their journey from child to adult.”
“This event has been a long time in the planning, as I originally planned to hold a party in March 2020.”
“I am delighted that it has finally been able to happen and I wish all the pupils well in their plans for the future.”
