Oakham School’s Jacob has won two silver medals for swimming at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Maribor, Slovenia.
The Team GB swimmer picked up silvers in both the 4x100m Mixed Relay and the Men’s 4X100m Medley Relay.
He also managed to grab 4th place in the Men’s 50m Freestyle and 5th Men’s 100m Freestyle, recording extremely impressive times of 23.28 and 50.82 respectively.
The 17th edition of the EYOF ran from 23-29 July and welcomed over 3,000 athletes from 48 countries. Team GB named a 39-strong squad to compete across artistic gymnastics, cycling, judo and swimming.
Team GB had a particularly impressive Festival, winning a grand total of 24 medals – at least one from every sport it represented.
Team GB Chef de Mission, Georgina Harland, said: “The whole team have done incredibly well at the European Youth Olympic Festival, and they should all be extremely proud of themselves.”
