Memory: A Photography Exhibition
Oakham School’s annual photography exhibition has launched, this year entitled Memory.
An open call for contributions was put out to both staff and students. Contributors impressed with their photography skills as well as their creativity and interpretation of the theme.
Jessica Gilbert, Teacher of Art and curator of the exhibition, explained that “Memory, for me, has seen the most varied and interesting responses from support staff, teaching staff and students, all sharing such wonderful photographs.
“Some contributors looked through old family albums and shared memories of their ancestors, some used the summer to capture new memories being made right then.
“One shared images of a wedding he photographed and the arrival of his granddaughter – sharing such precious moments.
“The exhibitions are always a success and we are grateful for all those who contribute.”
The exhibition is currently on display in the lobby of the Smallbone Library.
