Form 3 Girls Touch Rugby Festival

If you have been following the ongoing Rugby World Cup, you will have seen the passion and importance of this sport to so many around the world. With this, every year Women’s Rugby has increased in popularity both in players and spectators and Saturday’s Form 3 Touch Rugby Festival did not disappoint.

Assistant Director of Sport, Trefon Vandoros, explained they were ‘an awesome set of girls who gave their all and fully immersed themselves even if it was the unknown.’

There were those who have had experience in the game, but there was also a number who had gone down with their friends to have a go, and they did themselves proud.

After going over the basics with some drills, the girls took over far side as if it was their own, stepping and passing with smiles.

Mr. Vandoros was delighted to say  “I know they had a good time; I Know it was hard at times too, but nothing is worth doing that is not a challenge.”

These girls stepped up to the challenge as a team full of ranging experience.
