Following a highly successful summer tour to South Africa, Oakhamians have played over 150 games with a winning record of 52% this season. The 1st XV saw a lot of changes from last year but maintained high standards and the team, led by Thomas Ross, recorded some great victories. Wins against Rugby School on their Bicentennial debut, a star-packed Stamford side and Uppingham away were the three major highlights.
The 3rd and 4th XV teams continued their fine record, suffering only 1 loss in a dominant season. The U16As followed on from a fine summer tour with a strong season, recording good victories over strong Rugby and Bromsgrove sides whilst four of their players, Henry Johnson, Will Church, Marcus Southwell and James Flint all made their 1st XV debuts.
The U15s had a solid year, moving through to the area semi-finals of the Bowl, and wins against Uppingham and Trent highlighting the progress made. The U13s have developed hugely, losing in the final of the Oundle competition but otherwise going undefeated since the start of October. Max Hewston, Henry Botham, James Melville and Louis German have all played for the U14s. The U12s only lost 1 game, right at the start of the season, with a number of pupils playing up in the U13s as well.
