An Insightful Trip to The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Form 6 pupils had an exhilarating and educational experience during their recent business trip to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Pupils observed how the stadium optimises its seating capacity for various events, ensuring maximum profitability and fan engagement. The visit provided a first-hand look at how ticket prices fluctuate based on demand, opponent, and other factors, illustrating dynamic pricing strategies in action.

Discussions included how ticket sales respond to changes in pricing, helping students understand the elasticity of demand for sports events. Insights were shared on marketing strategies and the costs associated with acquiring new fans across international boundaries and retaining existing ones. Insights were shared the Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Legal, and Environmental factors impacting the football industry, offering a broader perspective on the business environment.

In addition to the educational sessions, pupils dared to take on the Skywalk, an adventurous ascent to the roof of the stadium. This thrilling activity culminated with a walk around the iconic Tottenham Cockerill mascot, providing not only breath-taking views of London but also an unforgettable experience that bonded the group.

The trip was a perfect blend of learning and excitement, leaving students inspired and more knowledgeable about the business aspects of sports management. The hands-on experiences and behind-the-scenes look at one of the Premier League’s top clubs were invaluable for our budding business minds.
