Oakham athletes have seen success and broken records in season openers this month.
In the Nuneaton Opener, Isabelle (Form 6) won the 400m race in 58.24s, and broke the Senior Girls School Record.
Isabelle went on to break that record at the Kettering Open a week later when she finished 2nd in the 400m race in 58.16s. She is now ranked 1st in the U20 UK for this sprinting category.
Isabelle also finished 2nd in the 200m race in 25.62s, breaking another Senior Girls School Record.
Fabian (Form 4) was also successful at the Kettering Open, finishing 3rd in the 200m race in 22.91s and is ranked 2nd in the U17 UK.
Moreover, Sofia, who raced in both openers, finished 6th in the 300m at the Nuneaton Meet, ranking 5th in the U15 UK, and at the Kettering Opener, she came 5th in the 200m, ranking 4th in the U15 UK.
