The quality and variety of entries from Oakham’s Art Scholars were outstanding, making selecting the winners extremely difficult for the Headmaster, Henry Price.
Ella said, “I’m delighted to have my work chosen as the school’s Christmas card design. Christmas spirit is jolly and sparkly, that’s why I made my design colourful and bright.”
Riya said, “I was inspired by the attractive buildings around the school. I felt it was fitting to honour her majesty by painting the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, seeing as it has been such a memorable year for her. Winning this year was unexpected, but I am thrilled.”
Oakham’s Art Scholars are encouraged to enter local and national competitions and enjoy extra mentoring and guidance from our experienced team of specialist teachers. They take part in special workshops and attend educational trips for inspiration. Their work is on display in exhibitions throughout the year.
