On an unseasonably warm March afternoon, the Form 6 Spanish A-level group accompanied by Teacher of Spanish Mr Passey and Head of German Mrs Sykes travelled to London’s South Bank to watch a performance of Lorca’s La Casa de Bernarda Alba.
A pre-theatre tapas lunch of gambas al ajillo, calamares, pan con tomate, albóndigas, berenjenas, patatas bravas and croquetas was enjoyed by all at the Valencian tapas bar Mar I Terra.
The students have been studying La Casa in class and the opportunity to see it performed on stage at the Cervantes Theatre proved to be such an enriching experience.
