A team of Upper School Model United Nations (MUN) pupils are delighted to have been invited to take part at the MUN conference at Kingswood, Bath. This year they will be representing delegates from the prestigious Security Council member South Africa and the significant South Korea.
MUN aims to build an understanding of current global challenges amongst the next generation of world leaders and thinkers. The debating issues will vary from human trafficking to deforestation and the question of Kashmir.
Lead teacher of MUN Mr Laurence Ward said, “The pupils have been eagerly awaiting whether they will be participating at the conference and were delighted when their invitation arrived. This follows further excellent news that they will be also representing Burundi at the Dublin MUN conference.”
Oakham has a strong MUN programme with over 40 pupils taking part in a variety of roles.
